Congratulations Megan and Anthony!
Peacock feathers first became a popular design motif during the Art Nouveau movement, and their rich iridescent hue continues to be a popular way to add a touch of exotic glamour to décor. The hallmark of the Peacock Theme is “vibrant” blues and purples with some green as well. There often is a little bit of gold that is used as an accent.
Jeremy Lueck of Unforgettable Entertainment met with Megan and Anthony on a crisp November afternoon to choose vibrant peacock colors to light up the Elegant Barn. “We chose alternating magenta and teal green to light center posts with gold accents on outside posts. During their first dance together, I surprised them with their names in lights…a monogram with an “S” joining Megan and Anthony.”
Laurie Janke, of My Simply Sweet Kitchen, was inspired to design a unique peacock-themed wedding cake. “There is a “Peacock” in the barn…I made the peacock of fondant, each feather is hand cut and layered with another fondant feather on top with a little pearl as the eye on each feather, I outlined each feather in gold just to give “Mr. Peacock” a little extra pop. I have no idea how many feathers I created…but there were a lot!” Mr. Peacock’s feathers cascaded down the side of a 3-tier white wedding cake onto the tops of teal blue frosted cupcakes creating the look of a peacock with trailing cupcake feathers.
From lighting up our Wisconsin Wedding Barn to their unique wedding cake, Megan and Anthony’s peacock-themed wedding will be talked about for years to come!
