Justin Trails Resort LLC is a great place for you to enjoy your pet! Petiquette for everyone’s health, happiness and safety:
- Please keep your dog on a leash around the Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast compound. No matter how friendly, some of us are afraid of any size dog.
- Please, no marking territory on shrubs. The landscaped area around the buildings is not for frolicking dogs. There are 210 acres of grassy and forest area for wonderful running, playing catch, etc. Your pet may be unleashed in the open fields west of the Sparta Cabins and buildings. The field between our buildings and the road is not our property.
- Please “pooper-scooper” pick-up after your dog and deposit in the Waste Management dumpster on the west end of the barn.
- We have extra pet towels. The white towels are for human guests.
- Please have your pet groomed before bringing him/her to this Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast.
- When packing, bring your dog’s favorite food/water dishes, blanket, toy(s), extra leash, food and bed or crate. We expect that your dog be protected for kennel cough, the same as if you boarded your dog at a kennel.
- A $15/pet/night fee applies to all pets.
- We have a number of friendly outdoor cats that have a home in the east end of barn known as the Cat Inn. They appreciate not being chased up the nearest tree by a barking dog.
- Horses are welcome. We have a chain link fence enclosure with three paddocks for the llamas. One of these paddocks is available for your horse(s). The same $15/day/horse applies. We have 10 miles of trails for your riding pleasure.
From the Dog Journals:
GREAT PLACE FOR DOGS! I loved the snowshoe trail and chasing down the tubing hill! I found Dusty and Rusty confusing at first, but they seem great. They look like they could be a relative except for that long neck. Thank you for offering the opportunity to run and play off-leash. I had the time of my life.
Sincerely, Pippin the Standard Poodle
At first we weren’t sure what was going on when our people put our food and beds in that fast-moving-thing. I got to stick my head out the window. Wow, I am a fast dog. Then we go to this place with lots of smells. Sniff, sniff…Cats! Sniff, sniff…mmm good people food!
When we woke up our people put us in this rope thing. Then they let us pull them around, with long wood sticks on their feet. Very very fun. Our people laughed and screamed alot. I am a strong dog. After food we went for a long walk. I got to sniff AND I picked up a piece of corn. I teased everyone with it, but no one could get me. I am a funny dog. Then our people got sad when we had to pack up the fast-moving-thing to leave. We liked this fun place. We will bring our people back here again! Bye Bye Cats and nice people.
