Land Restoration Project

This years work on our land focuses on removal of the fallen trees, invasives as box elder trees, honeysuckle, buckthorn.  Work began April 4 & 5, 2009 with removal of above named with a fire to clear 200 feet along Doe chase and basket # 4 on the Big Brother Disc Golf Course.  Thanks to Doug and Steve Elsen, Gary & Conrad Olson, Charles and Cindy Ramseyer, Don & Donna Justin for their chain saw work and dragging wood to the burn pile.

Work continued on April 25 & 26 along the Front Range-the area visible from the buildings.  The rains soaked the area so we could again burn the rotten wood and box elders.  Thanks to Gary Olson, Jeff Justin, Chris and Amanda Knowles, Charles and Cindy Ramseyer and Don & Donna Justin.  We discovered 3 nice sites for tent camping with shade in view of the all night yardlight for campers needing that security.

If you are a potential guest who likes to contribute to land restoration, please give us a call.  We have a Handy Special where you may enjoy lodging for $50/night in exchange for 4 hours/day of work.  With 150 acres of woodland to restore this is a six or seven year process.
