| From a Room Journal "We almost lost track of the date-how perfect to have such an ideal "pause" in our reality. We left Madison in pouring rain, optimistic that we'd have a lovely time, but afraid all the lovely white snow would be washed away. We couldn't have been luckier-crisp mornings, sunny and warm afternoons, perfect snowshoe treks and tubing. Great way to spend a special birthday for Paul (and I got all the benefits, too!) This is our second visit-first being just before the second log cabin was assembled. Sometimes the second time can't quite live up to the first time. Not so in this case. Nice additions and little surprises-brick walkways, cozy robes and so dog friendly! We had an idyllic weekend. And the view from the loft! Thank you for the warm hospitality, hearty and delicious breakfasts and sharing your land and scenery with us. Right now as we are writing this we are sitting in the sun!
